BONNE BAY MARINE STATION, MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY OF NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR
Surrounded by beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site Gros Morne National Park, this research, education and outreach facility supports ongoing research and teaching related to a broad range of marine ecology topics. The Bonne Bay area exhibits unparalleled diversity of habitat, marine plants, fish and invertebrates, with diversity that is unrivalled anywhere else in north-eastern North America. Facilities include teaching laboratories, touch tanks and aquaria, a multimedia theatre, library/resource centre, launch and docking sites, as well as onsite accommodations. With our program partners at Memorial University’s Bonne Bay Marine Station and boat operator BonTours, we offer programming to K-12 schools in spring and fall.
