TERRA NOVA NATIONAL PARK, PARKS CANADA
As a protected area and Canada’s most easterly National Park, Terra Nova is a hub of research activity, education and recreation. Located on Newman Sound, an inlet of Bonavista Bay, coastal research is carried out by Parks Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada researchers. The Visitor Centre offers wonderful ocean education facilities including a large touch tank and three aquaria, a fully equipped wet lab, presentation theatre, boat launches and docks. The park also includes a variety of visitor accommodations. With our program partner Parks Canada, we offer educational programming to K-12 schools in spring and fall.
